Wissahickon Garden Club Scrapbook/ Album 22 This album is the 22th in a series of albums created by members of the Wissahickon Garden Club [WGC], with content from 2013-2014. Covers are blue-covered boards, with "2013-2014." All pages are mylar plastic sleeves with paper inserts bound into the album with two aluminum screws. Pages 1-3 include pages from the WGC's 2013-2014 program. Page 4 includes a description of the WGC's Fall Horticulture Show, September 2013. It also includes three color photographs a-c, of content associated with "Class I Some Like It Hot: Best Last Bloom- A. Annual." Four additional color photographs of entries and associated signage a-d are attached to page 5. Page 6 includes five color photographs a-e, of content associated of the Fall Horticultural Show, with "Class I Some Like It Hot: Best Last Bloom- B. Perennial." Page 7 includes six color photographs a-f, of content associated of the Fall Horticultural Show, with "Class I Some Like It Hot: Best Last Bloom- C. Fruit or Vegetable." Page 13 includes seven color photographs a-g, of content associated of the Fall Horticultural Show, with "Class V Begonia Class- A. Container less than 6"" and "Class V Begonia Class- B. Container greater than 6"" Page 14 includes four color photographs a-d, of content associated of the Fall Horticultural Show, with "Class VI Par Class." Page 15 includes a single color photograph, along with results of the entries in the WGC's 2013 Fall Horticultural Show. Those mentioned include Jennifer Ponce, Mary Jane Greenwood, Carolyn Adams, Ann Hunter, Leslie Purple, Alice Farley, Judy Romig, Anna Cooke. The results of the 2013 Fall Horticultural Show are continued on page 16. Those mentioned include Ann Hunter, Maryalice Cheney, Joan Biddle, Leslie Purple, Alice Farley, and Mary Jane Greenwood. Twelve small color photographs a-l are featured on page 17. At the top of the page is the caption "WGC Meeting. Location: Chill on the Hill, 5 E. Highland Ave." etc. which appears to have been clipped from a WCG program or similar source. Page 18 is unused/ is left blank. Page 19- At the top of the page is the caption "WGC Meeting & Flower Show. Location: Springside Chestnut Hill Academy" etc. which appears to have been clipped from a WCG program or similar source. Below this, the fall flower show results are listed and include Lisa Walker, Ginny Simonin, Stacey Blankin, Joly Stewart, Cheryl Sargent, Anne Coste, Maryl Hitchings, Molly Ellis, Allison Romig, Alice Flint, Anna Woodward, Jennifer Ponce, Kris Henry, Jennifer Nagle, Barrett Stewart. A caption is taped to the top of page 20 and reads "WGC Meeting: Holiday Outreach & Brunch. Location: St. Martin's Church" etc. and includes two color photographs a-b, taken at the event. Though not labeled as such, page 21 includes three photographs a-c taken at the 2013 [?] Philadelphia Flower Show, of "Class 174 Wildlife House Avian Respite" entered into the Show by the WGC. Pages 22-24 each feature four color photographs a-d, taken at the 2013 [?] Flower Show. Pages 25-29 each include four color photographs a-d, taken at unknown function[s] at unidentified location[s]. An announcement for the WGC's third-annual Beds and Borders Fundraiser is attached to page 30, with information about the event. Pages 31-36 each include an issue of 2013-2014 Bulletin magazines, published by the Garden Club of America. |
